MTC introduces new bus route from OMR to Kilambakkam

In response to the growing demand and commuter concerns, the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) Chennai has introduced a new bus route, numbered 555S, connecting Kilambakkam to Siruseri IT Park along the Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR). This strategic move aims to alleviate the challenges faced by passengers in the IT corridor, particularly related to bus shortages and extended waiting times. The newly introduced bus route, 555S, is set to provide a vital link between Kilambakkam and Siruseri IT Park, enhancing connectivity and easing the commute for residents and professionals in the area. The route is designed to cater to the specific needs of passengers traveling along the OMR stretch, addressing longstanding complaints about limited bus services and prolonged waiting times. Authorities have announced that the bus service will initially operate with 24 trips every day. Additionally, they have assured that the frequency of trips can be increased based on demand. @@@@
