A clash between students from Pachaiyappas College and Presidency College in Chennai has stirred up shock and concern among the public and railway authorities. The confrontation, which took place outside the Pattaravakkam railway station in Ambattur on Wednesday, saw students from both institutions hurling stones and bottles at each other, creating chaos and panic among bystanders and train passengers.In the aftermath of the incident, the Government Railway Police swiftly responded by writing a letter to the administrations of both colleges, urging them to take disciplinary action against the students involved in the violent altercation. Additionally, the Perambur Railway Police have registered a case under seven sections of the Indian Penal Code against 60 college students implicated in the clash. Three individuals from Presidency College have been arrested in connection with the incident, while an intensive search is underway to apprehend other suspects involved.The clash between students from these prestigious Chennai colleges has raised concerns about the safety and security of public spaces, particularly railway stations, where innocent bystanders and commuters were caught in the crossfire. The reckless behavior displayed by the students not only endangered the lives of those present but also disrupted the normal functioning of the railway station, causing inconvenience and distress to passengers and staff alike.
