Raaj Kamal Films International (“RKFI) and Sony Pictures International Productions(SPIP) revealed the title of their project “SK21” on the eve of actor Sivakarthikeyan’s birthday. The film’s riveting teaser is set against the backdrop of Kashmir revealing the title and lead character.
The film is christened Amaran and is produced by Kamal Hassan, Sony Pictures International Productions, R.Mahendran and co-produced by Vakil Khan’s God Bless Entertainment. The film, written and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy is based on real-life events of Major Mukund Varadarajan and excerpts from Chapter 7 of India’s Most Fearless, written by Rahul Singh and Shiv Aroor.
Writer-director Rajkumar Periasamy has done extensive research and crafted the story screenplay for the film Amaran. Sai Pallavi adds a new dimension to the film. Anaran boasts a stellar technical crew including music director G V Prakash, cinematographer CH Sai, Editor R. Kalaivanan, action director Stefan Richter, costume designers Amritha Ram and Sameera Saneesh.
Sony Pictures International Productions, which received great acclaim for its debut in Telugu cinema with the film ‘Major,’ has entered the Tamil cinema world with its upcoming release ‘Amaran’ with yet another story that celebrates India and its heroes and promises to entertain audiences worldwide.
