In anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tamil Nadu unit has taken a strategic step by forming a dedicated seven-member seat-sharing committee. Headed by Union Minister of State for Fisheries, L Murugan, the committee aims to facilitate discussions with various political parties in Tamil Nadu and coordinate alliance efforts effectively.Announcing the formation of the committee, BJP State President K Annamalai highlighted its significance in fostering collaboration and consensus-building among political stakeholders in the state.
The newly formed committee comprises seasoned BJP leaders, including Pon Radhakrishnan, Vanathi Srinivasan, Nainar Nagendran, and H Raja, who bring a wealth of experience and strategic acumen to the table. Additionally, Arvind Menon, the BJP’s in-charge for Tamil Nadu for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, and party deputy in-charge for Tamil Nadu, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, will play pivotal roles in steering alliance negotiations and fostering cohesion within the party.
