TN BJP gears up for LS polls


The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tamil Nadu is set to embark on preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, with plans underway to compile a list of potential candidates. BJP Mahila Morcha National President and Coimbatore South MLA, Vanathi Srinivasan, announced that the party’s poll panel will convene on March 6, 2024, to discuss and finalize the list before presenting it to the party’s high command.

She made the announcement while addressing reporters after attending the BJP Tamil Nadu’s core committee meeting held at the party’s headquarters, Kamalalayam, in Chennai. The meeting, chaired by State President K. Annamalai, served as a platform for key party leaders to strategize and outline the roadmap for the upcoming elections.

In attendance were notable figures including Union Minister of State for Fisheries, L. Murugan, BJP Legislature Party leader Nainar Nagenthiran, as well as Arvind Menon and Sudhakar Reddy, who serve as poll in-charge for Tamil Nadu.
