As the summer season approaches, the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments department has initiated a measure to provide relief to devotees visiting temples across the State. In a bid to combat the scorching heat, the department has announced the distribution of free spiced buttermilk, locally known as ‘Neer Mor’, in 48 major temples.
HR & CE Minister PK Sekar Babu stated, “The department of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments will set up ‘Neer Mor’ pandals in 48 temples to quench the thirst of devotees during the summer season.”
The distribution of free ‘Neer Mor’ is scheduled to commence on Friday, marking the launch of this thoughtful initiative. This move is expected to provide much-needed relief to devotees who often endure long hours of standing in queues and participating in rituals, especially during the sweltering summer months.
