In light of ongoing engineering upgrade works at Tirupati Railway Station, a partial cancellation has been announced for the unreserved express train operating between Villupuram and Tirupati, falling under the jurisdiction of South Central Railway.

Effective from Tuesday, the unreserved express train with the train number 16854, which typically departs from Villupuram at 5:35 AM bound for Tirupati, will now terminate at Katpadi Railway Station. This partial cancellation is necessary due to the ongoing engineering upgrade works at Tirupati Railway Station.

Consequently, on the return trip, the unreserved express train departing from Tirupati at 1:40 PM with the train number 16853 will now depart from Katpadi Railway Station, also starting from today, Tuesday, March 19th. This arrangement will continue until March 23rd, with the train departing from Katpadi Railway Station at 4:30 PM and proceeding to Villupuram Railway Station.

Passengers are advised to take note of these changes in the train schedule and plan their travel accordingly. The partial cancellation and alteration of the train route are temporary measures necessitated by the ongoing engineering works aimed at enhancing the infrastructure and facilities at Tirupati Railway Station.
