Digital Yatra system at Chennai airport

Travelers passing through Chennai Airport can now bid farewell to long waits at entry and security checkpoints, thanks to the introduction of the DigiYatra System. Scheduled to launch this week, this innovative system harnesses facial recognition technology to streamline the pre-boarding process, ensuring a hassle-free journey for passengers.
After successful trial runs in recent weeks, airport authorities have confirmed the implementation of the DigiYatra System at the domestic terminal. Designed to expedite procedures for those opting to use the system, passengers are required to download and register on the DigiYatra app before their journey. Registration entails providing essential details such as name, mobile number, and Aadhar information, along with uploading a recent photograph.
Upon arrival at the airport, passengers need only present the QR code generated by the DigiYatra app at the entry gates. Subsequently, facial recognition technology captures the passenger’s image, allowing for swift passage through dedicated e-gates at security checkpoints and boarding areas.
The introduction of the DigiYatra System marks a significant step forward in enhancing passenger experience and operational efficiency at Chennai Airport. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, travelers can enjoy a seamless journey from entry to boarding, minimizing wait times and ensuring a stress-free travel experience.
