SSLC results: TN registers 91.55 pass percentage 


For the academic year 2023-24, Tamil Nadu recorded a pass percentage of 91.55 in the SSLC Board exams, slightly higher than last year’s percentage of 91.39.
Among the 38 districts in Tamil Nadu, Ariyalur district emerges as the frontrunner, boasting an impressive pass percentage of 97.31. Not far behind, Sivagangai and Ramanathapuram districts secured commendable pass percentages of 97.02 and 96.02 respectively, showcasing the widespread commitment to academic success.
The success story extends to the grassroots level, with 4,105 schools statewide achieving a full pass percentage. Of particular note are the 1,364 government schools that contributed significantly to this feat, reaffirming the importance of accessible and quality education for all.
In a heartening display of inclusivity, Tamil Nadu witnessed exceptional performance by differently-abled students. Out of 13,510 students with disabilities who appeared for the exams, an overwhelming majority of 12,491 successfully cleared them, achieving an impressive pass percentage of 92.45. This accomplishment reflects the state’s dedication to providing equal opportunities and support for all learners.
Schools under the Tribal Welfare Department led the pack with a remarkable pass percentage of 92.45, followed closely by Kallar schools at 91.75 and forest schools at 90.91, showcasing the efficacy of targeted interventions and support systems.
Even among prison inmates, education emerges as a transformative force, empowering individuals to pursue academic excellence despite challenging circumstances. Of the 260 inmates who appeared for the exams, an impressive 228 successfully passed, securing a commendable pass percentage of 87.69. This underscores the potential for education to break barriers and foster rehabilitation within correctional facilities.
