The much-anticipated trailer of the upcoming political thriller “Election” has been unveiled, offering a tantalizing glimpse into the gripping narrative and intense performances that await audiences. Directed by Thamizh, the film delves into the charged atmosphere of a local body election marred by caste schisms within a political party.At the heart of the story is Rasu, portrayed by Vijay Kumar, whose journey unfolds against the backdrop of political intrigue and power struggles. The trailer introduces viewers to George Maryan’s character, Rasu’s father, who exudes pride in his allegiance to the political party. However, tensions arise when the party’s local strongman insists on fielding candidates from his own community, setting the stage for a conflict that will shape the course of the election.
An undisclosed inciting incident propels Rasu into the political arena, compelling him to challenge the strongman’s son in a bid to assert the rights of the party’s cadre over those of the leader’s family.
