Less than three weeks after a harrowing incident where a baby girl slipped from her mother’s arms and was dramatically rescued from a sunshade below the fourth floor of an apartment building in Thirumullaivoyal, Chennai, the mother has allegedly ended her life in Coimbatore.Ramya, 33, and her husband, Venkatesh, had moved to her family home in Karamadai, Coimbatore, following the traumatic incident. On Saturday, Ramya took the extreme step in her house. The local police have registered a case under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, which pertains to cases of unnatural death.
The initial incident had garnered widespread attention after a video showing the seven-month-old baby dangling from a temporary sunshade and being rescued by neighbors went viral on social media.
