Chennai to face water supply disruptions in multiple zones

Residents of several areas in the Teynampet, Adyar, Perungudi, and Sholinganallur zones, along with the entire Tambaram corporation, will experience water supply on an alternate day basis for the next ten days, according to a recent announcement.

In the Teynampet zone, the affected areas include Mandaveli, Mylapore, Raja Annamalai Puram, Nandhanam, Thiruvallikeni, and Royapettah. Residents of the Adyar zone will see disruptions in Mandaveli, Besant Nagar, Madivankarai, Baby Nagar, Thanthai Periyar Nagar, Karunanidhi Nagar, Kalakshetra Colony, Velachery, Pallipattu, Thiruvalluvar Nagar, and AGS Colony.

The Perungudi zone areas impacted include Kottuvakkam, Perungudi, Palavakkam, Kaveri Nagar, Thirumayilai Nagar, Pallikaranai, Madipakkam, Ullagaram, Puzhudhivakkam, Kamakshi Colony, and Jalladiyampettai. In the Sholinganallur zone, the neighborhoods of Neelangarai, Saraswathi Nagar, and Okkiyam Thoraipakkam will also experience interruptions.

Residents in these areas are advised to plan accordingly and conserve water during this period of reduced supply. The water supply adjustments are necessary due to maintenance activities aimed at improving the overall water distribution network.
