LS Polls: EPS urges counting agents to stay alert

Leader of Opposition and AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami has called on counting agents to remain vigilant until the last vote is counted on June 4. In a statement made on Tuesday, Palaniswami emphasized that the people of the state have shown their support for AIADMK, casting votes as a response to the current DMK government.
Palaniswami urged the party’s counting agents and those of its allies to stay agile and ensure they are present at the counting centers with appropriate identity cards. He stressed the importance of verifying that the counted votes match the number of votes recorded in the 17 C form.
The AIADMK leader instructed agents not to leave the counting centers until the final results are declared. He emphasized the need for caution and alertness throughout the counting process, accusing DMK functionaries of spreading misinformation and engaging in malpractice and violence.
“If the DMK agents and functionaries indulge in any malpractice, it should be immediately reported to the officials at the counting center,” Palaniswami said. He also called for discipline among agents, instructing them to follow orders from the party high command, candidates, and chief agents during the counting process.
Palaniswami concluded by highlighting the importance of the agents’ role in ensuring the success of the party’s campaign and securing a victory in the polls.
