The revaluation process for Plus 2 answer scripts has brought joy to many students in Tamil Nadu as numerous applicants have received higher marks. Out of the 3,600 students who sought revaluation, over 2,000 witnessed an increase in their scores. The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) released a list on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, showcasing the students whose marks have changed post-revaluation on their official web portal, www.dge.tn.gov.in. According to the data, 2,100 students had their marks revised, bringing significant relief and happiness to many.
The subjects most frequently submitted for revaluation were mathematics and physics, though many students also sought reevaluation of their language papers to boost their overall scores. Notably, students who had not achieved full marks in commerce and chemistry, as well as those who had failed in one subject, were among those who applied for revaluation.
An official from the directorate noted that some students saw only a minor change of one or two marks. This year, 1,700 students applied for re-totalling, resulting in 150 students having their marks revised.
Subject experts highlighted that the number of revaluation requests for mathematics answer scripts was particularly high in 2024. In some cases, students’ marks were increased by as much as eight marks, while others experienced a slight decrease of one or two marks.
During the revaluation process, a dedicated team of teachers thoroughly re-evaluates the entire answer scripts of the students to ensure accurate scoring.
