Following his controversial comments on BJP Chennai south candidate Tamilisai Soundararajan, BJP OBC wing general secretary Tiruchi Suriyaa Siva was removed from all party posts on Wednesday.
In a release, BJP OBC wing state president R M Saisuresh Kumaresan said Suriyaa Siva was removed for his “anti-party activities”, based on the advice from party leadership.
Suriyaa Siva had criticised Tamilisai after she gave a series of interviews on the party’s electoral debacle. He said she was aiming for party leadership by overthrowing Annamalai. Tamilisai had raised the issue and said she was being targeted by her own partymen.
