Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has awarded a contract to Nusyn Digital Solutions to install LED-backlit, LCD-based dynamic route map display systems in trains, with work commencing soon. This new system will display the entire Phase I and Phase I extension networks, highlighting passed and upcoming stations, as well as local landmarks.Each train will feature 16 such maps, aimed at aiding commuters, especially first-time travelers. The maps will also potentially display train speed and temperature. With the prototype expected in six months, installations will begin in early 2025, enhancing passenger convenience and navigation, particularly in underground sections.
