The Tamil Nadu government, under the leadership of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, has unveiled a significant employment initiative aimed at generating more than 75,000 new jobs by January 2026. This announcement was made during a discussion under Rule 110 in the State Assembly, emphasizing the government’s commitment to boosting employment and supporting youth welfare in the state.
As part of this initiative, the government plans to recruit 46,535 individuals through four major agencies: the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC), Teachers Recruitment Board, Medical Recruitment Board, and Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB). These recruitments will address critical staffing needs across various public sectors.
In addition to these positions, approximately 30,000 more jobs will be created through local bodies and public sector undertakings, expanding the reach of the employment drive and providing opportunities in diverse areas.
Chief Minister Stalin underscored that this comprehensive employment drive is a continuation of the government’s efforts to promote youth welfare and economic development in Tamil Nadu. He highlighted that, over the past three years, more than 5.08 lakh jobs have been generated for the state’s youth in both government and private sectors through various recruitment initiatives.
