Tambaram Police Commissioner Abin Dinesh Modak officially inaugurated the new Medavakkam police station, a significant addition aimed at enhancing law enforcement in the rapidly growing region. This initiative aligns with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin’s ongoing efforts to establish new police stations to address the needs of the state’s expanding population.
The jurisdiction of the existing Pallikaranai police station has been restructured, with half of its areas now reassigned to the newly inaugurated Medavakkam police station. This restructuring aims to improve the efficiency and response times of law enforcement services in the area.
The new Medavakkam police station will serve the communities of Medavakkam, Nanmangalam, and Kovilambakkam, providing them with more localized and accessible policing services.
The inauguration of the Medavakkam station brings the total number of police stations under the Tambaram police commissionerate to 22, marking a significant step in the region’s efforts to enhance public safety and law enforcement capabilities.
This development is expected to have a positive impact on the local communities, ensuring better law enforcement coverage and a stronger police presence.
