The music of the much-anticipated film Ragu Thatha, produced by the prominent production house Homebale Films and featuring National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh in a leading role, was launched in Chennai. Directed by Suman Kumar, who is known for his work on successful web series like The Family Man and Farzi, the film is set to be a comedy-drama.The music launch event, held at a star hotel in Chennai, was attended by Keerthy Suresh, music composer Sean Roldan, director Suman Kumar, and other members of the filmâs crew.
Keerthy Suresh shared her excitement, stating, “This is a joyous moment. The event isnât just an audio launch but a celebration of the filmâs music. When director Suman Kumar first approached me with the script, he would narrate the story with a smile, and only after he left would we, too, smile. He had this endearing habit of looking at us with a touch of hesitation, as if wondering whether his comedy would be well-received. Eventually, I was convinced by his unique storytelling approach and agreed to be a part of Ragu Thatha.”
She expressed her initial apprehension about how the film would draw audiences to the theaters but appreciated how director Suman and producer Vijay instilled confidence in her. She also praised the support and encouragement she received from the team, highlighting the pride she felt working with Homebale Films and the production team.
Keerthy also conveyed her gratitude to producer Vijay Kiragandur and Karthik Gowda for their support. She eagerly anticipates the release of the album and expressed her hope that audiences will enjoy the filmâs diverse musical offerings, which feature a variety of genres. She specifically mentioned the song “Arugae Vaa” as her favorite from the soundtrack.
Ragu Thatha, set for release on August 15, promises a rich blend of entertainment with its engaging story and music.
