RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) Chief Mohan Bhagwat attended the Guru Purnima celebrations held at the Ramachandra Convention Center in Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai.During the event, Mohan Bhagwat performed various rituals and pujas as part of the Guru Purnima observance. The event saw the participation of numerous RSS workers, including BJP State President Annamalai and senior leader Tamilisai Soundararajan.
Guru Purnima is one of the six festivals (Varsha Pratipada, Vijayadashami, Makar Sankranti, Hindu Samrajya divas (Hindu Empire Day), Guru Purnima and Raksha Bandhan ) that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), founded in 1925 by a Hindu revolutionary and reformer Dr Keshav Baliram. Hedgewar celebrates officially in its various Shakhas spread across Bharat and abroad.Onthis day, every RSS Shakha organises, ‘Guru Dakshina (Offering to the Guru)’.
Later in the evening, Mohan Bhagwat also attended a Gita event at Maharishi Vidya Mandir School.
