Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy along with deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka and irrigation minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Monday met AICC leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi in New Delhi and invited them to address a huge public meeting in Warangal for thanking the people, especially farmers, for trusting the Congress promise of Rs 2 lakh crop loan waiver and voting it to power.The Revanth-led team apprised the three leaders about the implementation of the 2 lakh crop loan waiver, a promise made by Rahul Gandhi in the ‘farmers declaration’ he had released at a public meeting in Warangal in May 2022.
Though the Congress planned to hold the ‘thanksgiving meeting’ by month-end, the final date is yet to be finalised. Bhatti and Uttam told reporters in New Delhi that the rally will most likely be organised at the fag-end of completion of crop loan waiver in August as both the budget sessions of Parliament and Telangana will be over. Also, CM Revanth will be back by then from his proposed US tour.
