In a tragic incident on Wednesday, two workers lost their lives in an explosion at a private firecracker factory located in Mayadevanpatti village, Srivilliputhur block, Virudhunagar district. The explosion, which occurred during working hours, triggered a massive fire that quickly engulfed the facility.
The two victims, identified as Puli Kutty and Karthik, were trapped inside the factory when the blast occurred. Despite efforts to rescue them, both workers succumbed to the fire.
