The Chennai High Court has postponed the hearing to September 9 on the review petition against the acquittal of Minister Ponmudi in a disproportionate assets case.Minister Ponmudi and others were acquitted by the Vellore Court in a case where they were accused of amassing assets beyond their known sources of income. Justice Anand Venkatesh of the Chennai High Court took up the case for review on his own accord.
Initially, the judge had scheduled the hearing from April 15 to 19, but it was later postponed to June 18. However, the hearing did not take place.
In the latest development, the case came up for hearing before Justice Anand Venkatesh, and upon a request for more time from Minister Ponmudi’s side, the hearing was deferred to September 9.
