Armstrong murder case: One more person detained

Chennai: In a significant development, authorities have detained another individual in connection with the brutal murder of K Armstrong, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) state president. The arrest took place at Chennai airport on Friday morning, according to a report by Daily Thanthi.

With this latest arrest, the total number of individuals detained in relation to the case has risen to 28. Among those already in custody are Congress party functionary Ashwathaman, his father, notorious gangster Nagendran, and Porkodi, the wife of the late history-sheeter Arcot Suresh.

K Armstrong was tragically hacked to death on July 5 in Perambur, a murder that sent shockwaves through the community and political circles. The police have been conducting extensive investigations since the incident, leading to the detention of several suspects, including Ponnai Balu, the brother of Arcot Suresh, and their cousin, lawyer Arul.

Authorities are continuing their investigations as they piece together the events leading up to the murder, with further developments expected in this high-profile case.
