Former AIADMK Minister D. Jayakumar recently lashed out at the DMK government, labeling it a capitalist and corporate regime. In his statement, he expressed concern over the government’s priorities, particularly regarding its support for wealthy elites over ordinary, talented students.“There are numerous poor and talented students who deserve opportunities,” Jayakumar stated. “Instead of organizing sports competitions that could help bring out their talents, the government, as a capitalist entity, is conducting ‘Formula-4’ car races for the wealthy.”
He also commented on the foreign trips of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai, saying, “Only God knows what is happening abroad.” He noted that in Annamalai’s absence, five people have been brought in to manage affairs, but emphasized that this does not concern AIADMK.
Jayakumar concluded by comparing the political parties, stating, “If the DMK is a corporate company in Tamil Nadu, then the BJP is a pan-India corporate company.”
These remarks highlight the ongoing tension between the political parties in Tamil Nadu, with Jayakumar’s comments aimed at questioning the priorities and governance style of both the DMK and BJP.
