Prominent Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly has firmly denied the allegations made against him in a sexual assault case registered in Kerala’s Ernakulam district. The case was filed following a complaint by a woman who claimed that she was deceived with promises of a film role and was subsequently sexually assaulted by a group of six individuals, including Nivin Pauly, who has been named as the sixth accused.In a hastily organized press conference on Tuesday evening, Nivin Pauly addressed the media, categorically denying the accusations. “I don’t know who she is, I have never seen her or spoken to her. This is baseless news, and I will go to any extent to prove the charges wrong,” the actor stated emphatically.
Nivin Pauly revealed that the police had contacted him about the complaint approximately 45 days earlier. “When the police informed me of the complaint, I told them that I had never met or seen the complainant. Following this, the police closed the case,” he explained, hinting at the possibility of a conspiracy. “There might be others involved in leveling such allegations against me. My family is behind me, and I will fight this case not only for myself but for all those who face such fake allegations.”
He further elaborated that he only knew one of the other accused, a producer whom he had met in Dubai, and denied knowing the rest of the individuals named in the case.
In addition to his press statement, Nivin Pauly also took to social media platform X to address the allegations. “I have come across a false news report accusing me of abusing a girl. Please know that this is entirely untrue. I’m determined to go to any extent to prove these allegations are baseless and will take all necessary steps to bring those responsible to light. Thank you for your concern. The rest will be handled legally,” he posted.
According to sources, the woman’s complaint was reportedly influenced by the recent release of the Hema Committee report, which surfaced last month and led to a surge in complaints. Motivated by the revelations in the report, she decided to lodge a fresh complaint against Nivin Pauly.
