BJP MLA Vanathi Srinivasan responded to remarks made by Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) leader Thol. Thirumavalavan regarding the need for power-sharing in the administration. Vanathi Srinivasan welcomed Thirumavalavan’s demand for a share in governance, stating that it is a positive step forward.
“Thirumavalavan has observed how the BJP treats the oppressed communities in Delhi and how they are treated in Tamil Nadu. His current remarks are a reflection of this observation,” she added.
Vanathi further highlighted the BJP’s commitment to social justice, pointing out that the party has appointed a member of the Arunthathiyar community from Tamil Nadu to a central ministerial position. “This is what true social justice looks like,” she emphasized.
Regarding Thirumavalavan’s call for prohibition of alcohol, Srinivasan expressed the BJP’s support for his demand. “We hope he succeeds in his efforts on this issue,” she said.
Addressing the ongoing controversy surrounding Coimbatore Annapoorna Srinivasan, Vanathi accused the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and its allies of politicizing the issue. “The Union Finance Minister has exposed the lies of the DMK alliance in Parliament with concrete evidence, and it is only due to personal vendetta that the Congress-DMK alliance is blowing this matter out of proportion,” she remarked.
With these statements, Vanathi Srinivasan reaffirmed her party’s stance on social justice and governance, while criticizing the opposition for their alleged misinformation campaigns.
