In celebration of Ayudha Pooja, the makers of Freedom, starring Sasikumar and Lijomol Jose, released a special poster on Friday. The film, written and directed by Sathyasiva, is gaining attention for its compelling storyline inspired by real events. Sathyasiva, known for films such as Kazhugu, Savaale Samaali, and 1945, is at the helm of this intense project.
Freedom boasts an ensemble cast, with Bose Venkat and Malavika Avinash playing pivotal roles alongside the lead actors. The film revolves around a prison break based on true events that took place in Tamil Nadu between 1991 and 1995. Sasikumar and Lijomol Jose play Sri Lankan refugees, fighting for their freedom and facing wrongful imprisonment. According to Sathyasiva, Freedom will deeply explore the emotions of those unjustly convicted and the struggles they endure behind bars.
The film features music composed by Ghibran, with cinematography by NS Uthaya Kumar and editing by Srikanth NB. It is co-produced by Sujatha Pandian and produced by Pandian Parasuraman under their production banner.
Freedom is set to release in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. While the release date has yet to be announced, the special poster has already sparked anticipation among fans and cinephiles.
