Following actor Vijay’s recent political party conference, several leaders from various Tamil Nadu political parties shared their views:

Tamil Nadu BJP Coordinator H. Raja: Raja remarked that Vijay lacks a clear ideological stance and seems to be in confusion. He questioned whether Vijay aligns with nationalism or separatism, urging him to clarify his position. He added, “Vijay’s entry poses no threat to us; it will only impact the DMK.”

DMK Organization Secretary R.S. Bharathi: Bharathi was unfazed by Vijay’s statements, likening DMK to a mighty banyan tree that can withstand challenges, quoting, “Only a tree that bears fruit gets pelted with stones.” He dismissed the need to respond to Vijay’s statements line by line.

Tamil Nadu Congress President Selvaperunthagai: He expressed confidence in the strong DMK-Congress alliance, asserting there is no room for any shifts within the coalition.

New Tamil Nadu Party Leader Dr. Krishnasamy: Krishnasamy congratulated Vijay on successfully holding his first conference. He noted that Vijay’s call for a coalition government is a fresh approach in Tamil Nadu’s political landscape. Krishnasamy highlighted that since the inception of his party, they have promoted coalition governance as the solution to Tamil Nadu’s challenges, believing it will bring a new dawn for the people.

VCK Deputy General Secretary Aadhav Arjuna: Arjuna supported Vijay’s emphasis on shared governance and authority, aligning with his party’s stance that everyone deserves equal opportunity. He emphasized that Tamil Nadu politics is moving toward a vision of inclusive politics, aiming for “everything for everyone.”

Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin: Udhayanidhi underscored the importance of policies and public acceptance, offering well-wishes for his long-time friend Vijay’s new political journey.

NTK Chief Coordinator Seeman: Seeman noted that Tamil Nadu politics is shifting from “black and red” to “red and yellow.” He observed that while his party’s flag displays a tiger, Vijay’s party flag shows an elephant. He added, “People may gather to see Vijay, but that does not automatically translate to votes. Let the people decide.”

Former AIADMK Minister Vaigai Selvan: Selvan claimed that several parties within the DMK alliance are prepared to join Vijay’s party, which has caused Chief Minister Stalin to hold discussions to keep these parties within his fold. He added that Vijay’s political entry poses no threat to the AIADMK.

These varied reactions reflect both the curiosity and the cautious responses to Vijay’s political debut in Tamil Nadu.
