H Raja criticises Dravidian movements

Tamil Nadu BJP Coordination Committee Leader H. Raja has sparked controversy by stating that Dravidian movements are the foundation of hate politics. Speaking to the media, Raja made bold accusations against the Dravidian political parties and questioned their commitment to secularism.
“No Dravidian Party Is Truly Secular”
In his statement, Raja emphasized that Dravidian parties cannot be considered secular. He alleged that these parties harbor and promote divisive ideologies based on caste and language, leading to social polarization. “The Dravidian movements are rooted in caste and linguistic chauvinism. They propagate hatred against certain communities and the nation itself,” he asserted.
Comments on Trump’s Re-election
Switching to international politics, Raja lauded former U.S. President Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election, describing it as an event that the world marvels at. He praised Trump as a leader who appreciates Hindu communities and has a favorable view of India. “With Trump’s re-election, Indo-American relations and trade are bound to flourish,” Raja claimed.
Accusations Against Political Leaders
Raja also targeted key leaders from other political groups, naming Manithaneya Makkal Katchi leader Jawahirullah and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi leader Thol. Thirumavalavan, calling them “anti-national.” He urged the government to keep such leaders under close surveillance. Referring to controversies surrounding the movie Amaran, Raja suggested that actions that seem to incite anti-national sentiments should be opposed by true patriots.
Condemnation of Dravidian Politics
Raja reiterated his belief that Dravidian parties are not aligned with national unity and instead promote caste and language-based hatred. He accused these movements of fostering anti-national sentiments under the guise of championing regional and linguistic pride.
