In a recent meeting of the Western District AIADMK-MGR Forum held in Ranipet, former minister Ponniyan shared his thoughts on the upcoming assembly elections and the party’s plans.
Speaking at the event, Ponniyan made a strong statement regarding the Tamil Nadu political landscape. He criticized DMK’s Deputy General Secretary, Kanimozhi, saying, “She may know how to write poems, but she doesn’t understand politics.” He also accused the DMK of being a party built on lies, claiming that leaders like Karunanidhi and Stalin were born to spread falsehoods. According to him, DMK is the party that speaks the most lies in the world.
Ponniyan further highlighted the growing issues in Tamil Nadu, such as the increasing incidents of sexual assault and the rise in drug trafficking. He emphasized that the upcoming elections would see the AIADMK forming a strong alliance in Tamil Nadu. He assured that a coalition of like-minded parties would be established to contest the elections together.
Regarding power-sharing within the alliance, Ponniyan clarified that a decision would be made three months before the elections. This would ensure clarity on the distribution of power among the coalition partners if AIADMK comes to power.
In conclusion, Ponniyan’s statements showcased AIADMK’s readiness to take on the electoral challenges ahead while also addressing the key political and social issues in the state.
