State Minister I. Periyasamy has filed a petition requesting the cancellation of a case related to the irregularities in the allocation of residential houses. The case was under scrutiny by the Anti-Corruption Department, which has now been ordered by the Chennai High Court to respond.
The defense team representing Minister Periyasamy stated that the charges against the other individuals involved in the case have already been dismissed. Furthermore, they argued that the state government has not incurred any loss due to the alleged irregularities.
In addition to this, Minister Periyasamy’s legal team has requested the court to impose a restriction on any further investigation into the matter, urging that the case be closed.
