Mahayuti set for landslide win in Maharashtra


As trends predict a massive win for Mahayuti, NCP leader Ajit Pawar hinted that the victory was also due to women voters’ support.

Sharing a photo with Naresh Arora, the head of a consulting firm behind his pink-themed campaign, which is believed to have been designed to attract female voters, he wrote, ‘Maharashtra chooses pink’.

The Mahayuti alliance’s lead continued in 220 seats, ensuring a massive win. MVA’s tally stood at 55 at 12.40 pm.

Home Minister Amit Shah spoke over the phone with Mahayuti leaders Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde, and Ajit Pawar to congratulate them on their victory.

The BJP is likely to hold the Maharashtra Legislative Party meeting on November 25 and the oath-taking ceremony on 26, news agency ANI reported. A larger meeting of the Mahayuti alliance is also likely to be held around the same time.
