H. Raja criticises DMK leadership for alleged insensitive remarks

In a recent statement at Chennai Airport, H. Raja, the Tamil Nadu BJP Coordination Committee Head, sharply criticized the leadership and actions of the DMK, accusing them of demeaning the people of Tamil Nadu in various ways. He particularly focused on remarks made by DMK leaders, accusing them of making insensitive statements regarding caste and gender issues.
Raja mentioned that the Congress party is rapidly losing its political relevance, with its influence dwindling. He pointed out that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership since 2014, India’s economy has moved up from 11th place to the 5th largest in the world. He also referred to international financial institutions like the IMF, which predict that India could soon secure the 3rd position in the global economic rankings.
Further, Raja slammed the DMK for its alleged divisive actions and rhetoric. He cited recent remarks by Minister Ponmudy, who allegedly referred to people by their caste during his speech, and Minister K.K.S.S.R. Annamalai, who allegedly assaulted a woman after receiving a petition from her. Raja expressed concern over the DMK’s conduct and its impact on Tamil society.
Raja’s comments have stirred controversy, reflecting the ongoing tensions between the BJP and DMK in Tamil Nadu’s political landscape. As the state heads towards future elections, these statements highlight the intense political rivalries and the focus on issues like caste, governance, and economic progress.
