The much-anticipated pre-release event for Pushpa 2: The Rule took place at Sairam College in Tambaram, Chennai, on November 24, drawing immense excitement from fans and marking another milestone in Allu Arjun’s pan-Indian journey. The actor, known for his iconic role as Pushparaj in the Pushpa franchise, captivated the audience with his emotional speech and humble gestures, strengthening his connection with Tamil Nadu.
Allu Arjun’s arrival in Chennai was part of the ongoing promotional campaign for the film, set for a grand release on December 5 by AGS Entertainment across Tamil Nadu. The pre-release event was decorated with Pushpa-themed decorations, adding to the festive atmosphere. Fans gathered in large numbers to witness the actor, whose fanbase has expanded nationwide following the success of Pushpa – The Wildfire and its sequel.
In a heartfelt address, Allu Arjun greeted the audience with a “Vanakkam Tamil Makkal” and delivered his speech in Tamil, expressing his deep admiration for the Tamil people and culture. He emotionally recalled his 20-year-long dream of hosting an event in Chennai, a city that holds a special place in his heart. The actor’s humility and respect for the audience were evident when he bowed and touched the ground in reverence before beginning his speech.
The event was further charged with excitement when the anchor asked Allu Arjun about his favorite actor during his childhood in Chennai. Without saying a word, he responded with his signature style movement, which sent the crowd into a frenzy. This silent tribute was a clear acknowledgment of his admiration for the legendary Rajinikanth.
Allu Arjun also shared his experiences working with the film’s female lead, Rashmika Mandanna. Describing their friendship as one of the highlights of his career, he confessed that he missed her presence on set whenever they were working on different projects. “The Pushpa franchise has become my home for the past four years,” he said, speaking fondly of the bond they shared during filming.
In addition, the actor praised young actress Sree Leela for her exceptional dancing skills, stating that her talent motivated him to continuously push himself and elevate his own dancing abilities.
I love Chennai says Allu Arjun.
