Senior Congress leader and Erode East MLA EVKS Elangovan has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai following health concerns.
Elangovan, a prominent figure in the Congress party, is currently undergoing intensive treatment at the hospital. He is reportedly affected by breathing issues and
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin visited Elangovan at the hospital today (November 28) and inquired about his health and well-being.
The Erode (East) assembly seat fell vacant following the demise of Congress MLA and Elangovan’s son Thirumahan Everaa.
In the bypoll held on February 27, Elangovan who was nominated as a candidate of the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance won by a margin of more than 66,000 votes against the AIADMK-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate K S Thennarasu.
