With Cyclone Fengal bringing heavy rains to Chennai, the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has issued a safety advisory to ensure the smooth and secure transit of passengers. The advisory focuses on maintaining vigilance and safety at metro stations and surrounding areas affected by rain-induced challenges.

Exercise caution while using staircases at all metro stations to avoid slipping due to wet surfaces.
Avoid halting vehicles at parking lots near Koyambedu Metro, St. Thomas Mount, and Arumbakkam Metro stations, which are prone to water stagnation.
This advisory is effective starting November 30, with further updates based on weather conditions.
