
The 10th edition of the Tamil Nadu International Balloon Festival (TNIBF) 2025 was inaugurated at Thiruvidanthai, Kovalam amidst much fanfare. Tamil Nadu Ministers T.M. Anbarasan and R. Rajendran presided over the event, joined by senior IAS officials Dr. B. Chandra Mohan and Shilpa Prabhakar Satish.
Celebrated as India’s only annual hot air balloon festival, TNIBF has garnered international recognition, with participants from eight countries, including the USA, Thailand, and France. This year’s festival holds special significance as it commemorates a decade of promoting Tamil Nadu as a key destination for tourism and cultural exchange.
The event began with a mesmerizing spectacle at 6 AM, as vibrant hot air balloons were inflated, leaving the audience spellbound. The festival not only showcases the technical marvel of ballooning but also serves as a cultural extravaganza, attracting enthusiasts and families alike.
TNIBF 2025 is expected to draw thousands of visitors in the coming days, further solidifying Tamil Nadu’s position on the global tourism map.
