Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) Coordinator Seeman has alleged that elections are not conducted in a truly democratic manner, irrespective of who holds power.
Addressing the press in Chennai, Seeman said:
âI agree with the statement made by AIADMK General Secretary Palaniswami. Regardless of which party is in power, elections are not conducted democratically. We are a protest movement, a growing movement. The solution lies in standing firm on the ground, and that is why we contest elections.”
He further added, âWhen even a strong opposition party is stepping back, it indicates the existence of a brutal democracy. On the occasion of the festive Pongal, I will announce our candidate for the Erode East constituency by-election. The announcement will be definitive.”
