Stalin presents awards to 10 scholars on Thiruvalluvar Day


In celebration of Thiruvalluvar Day, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin presented awards to 10 distinguished Tamil scholars in a ceremony held at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
The event, organized by the Department of Tamil Development, aimed to honor scholars for their outstanding contributions to Tamil language and literature. Awards were presented for the years 2024 and 2025.
Recipients of the Thiruvalluvar, Anna, Kamarajar, Mahakavi Bharathiyar, Pavendhar Bharathidasan, and Ki.Aa.Pe Viswanatham awards were honored with:
Chief Minister Stalin personally presented the awards to the scholars and commended their efforts in preserving and enriching Tamil culture and heritage. He emphasized the importance of recognizing their valuable contributions to society.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of several prominent figures, including Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin and Ministers Saminathan, Meyyanathan, and Mathiventhan. Other attendees included Chief Secretary Muruganandam, Secretary for Minority Welfare Vijay Rajkumar, Secretary for Tamil Development Rajaraman, and Director of Information and Public Relations Vaithiyanathan, alongside various officials.
