AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami has announced that the party’s students’ wing will organize public meetings across all districts on January 25 to honor the sacrifices of Tamil language martyrs.

In his statement, Palaniswami highlighted the historic anti-Hindi agitation that began on January 25, 1965, in Tamil Nadu. He referred to it as a monumental revolution that the world had never seen before. He emphasized the need to pay tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the struggle to protect the Tamil language.

The AIADMK students’ wing will conduct public meetings in party districts on January 25, which falls on a Saturday. Key leaders, including Presidium Chairman Tamilmagan Hussain, former ministers Munusamy (Krishnagiri), Srinivasan (Dindigul), Velumani (Coimbatore), Jayakumar (North Chennai), and C.V. Shanmugam (Villupuram), will participate in these events.

The students’ wing will also organize processions to honor Tamil language martyrs. The processions will culminate with floral tributes to portraits of the martyrs who laid down their lives in defense of Tamil.

The AIADMK has urged all its cadres and supporters to join these events to pay homage to the martyrs and to reaffirm their commitment to preserving Tamil identity.
