The Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department is set to commence the third phase of its spiritual pilgrimage program to Lord Murugan’s six sacred abodes. This phase will begin on Tuesday, starting from Tiruchendur.
A total of 207 senior citizens, aged between 60 and 70, from Tirunelveli, Madurai, Thoothukudi, and Sivagangai districts will take part in this free pilgrimage. According to an official statement, the devotees will visit Lord Murugan temples located in Thiruparankundram, Tiruchendur, Palani, Swamimalai, Tiruttani, and Palamuthircholai during the tour.
In the previous two phases of the program, 410 devotees were taken on this spiritual journey, which aims to provide elderly participants with an opportunity to experience spiritual fulfillment by visiting these revered shrines.
The initiative has garnered widespread appreciation for its commitment to promoting religious and cultural values among senior citizens. The program continues to serve as a meaningful gesture toward enriching the spiritual lives of the elderly.
