On Sunday, the much-awaited title of Vijay’s Thalapathy 69 was revealed by KVN Productions. Directed by H Vinoth, the film is now officially titled Jana Nayagan. The makers also released the first-look poster, featuring Vijay taking a selfie from a stage as a massive crowd of supporters poses enthusiastically below.The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, and Narain, alongside Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, Mamitha Baiju, and Teejay Arunasalam. This is Vijay’s first collaboration with Bobby Deol, Priyamani, Mamitha, and Narain. Jana Nayagan also marks Vijay’s reunion with Prakash Raj after Varisu, Pooja Hegde after Beast, and Gautham Vasudev Menon after Leo.
The film went on floors in October 2024 and is reportedly a political drama. It is Vijay’s final movie before his full-fledged entry into politics.
On the technical front, the film features Anirudh as the music composer, Sathyan Sooryan as the cinematographer, and Pradeep E Ragav as the editor. Action sequences are choreographed by Anlarasu, with art direction by Selva Kumar and costumes by Pallavi Singh.
