Three booked under POCSO ActSix individuals have been arrested in connection with the alleged kidnapping and sexual assault of three minor girls in Chennai. Three men were arrested for their suspected involvement in the crime, while three minor boys were taken into custody for allegedly aiding them. The arrests came after a 32-year-old woman filed a missing personâs report with the Thiru Vi Ka Nagar Police, stating that her 13-year-old daughter was missing.
Authorities were able to track the girlsâ location via their mobile phone signals. Upon arriving at the abandoned building, police found the three minor boys outside, reportedly acting as lookouts to alert those inside who were allegedly sexually assaulting the girls.
The girls were successfully rescued, and the case was transferred to the Sembiam All Women Police Station.The three men, identified as Kalimulla, Abishek and Gokul, were charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act. The three minor boys were sent to a juvenile detention centre on Kellyâs Road.
