AIADMK General Secretary E. Palaniswami (E.P.S.) credited the cancellation of the tungsten mining auction to the united protests by farmers and the public. Speaking at his Greenways Road residence in Chennai, where Arittapatti farmers met him to express their gratitude, E.P.S. criticized the DMK government for its prolonged silence on the issue.“The consistent protests by farmers forced the government to act. As a farmer myself, I understand their struggles and raised their concerns in the Assembly. AIADMK will always oppose any project that harms farmers,” he said.
E.P.S. assured that his party would stand by the people of Tamil Nadu against any adverse policies, emphasizing the importance of protecting agricultural lands.
