Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized opposition parties, stating they cannot truly understand the struggles of the poor. He remarked that some leaders, living in luxury mansions, visit slums only for photo opportunities.
Speaking on the motion of thanks to the Presidentās address, Modi highlighted that 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty. He emphasized the BJP governmentās efforts in building 4 crore homes and 12 crore toilets for the underprivileged, contrasting it with opposition partiesā empty promises.
He further noted that some politicians focus on lavish lifestyles and fail to grasp the realities of poverty, making their references to the poor seem insincere.
