Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized opposition parties, stating they cannot truly understand the struggles of the poor. He remarked that some leaders, living in luxury mansions, visit slums only for photo opportunities.

Speaking on the motion of thanks to the President’s address, Modi highlighted that 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty. He emphasized the BJP government’s efforts in building 4 crore homes and 12 crore toilets for the underprivileged, contrasting it with opposition parties’ empty promises.

He further noted that some politicians focus on lavish lifestyles and fail to grasp the realities of poverty, making their references to the poor seem insincere.
