The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Anna University sexual assault case conducted a voice test on the accused, Gnanasekaran, on Thursday.Around 11 AM, yesterday, SIT officials took Gnanasekaran to forensic experts for the test related to the December 23 sexual assault incident on the university campus. As part of the procedure, he was given a Tamil document to read aloud continuously while forensic officials recorded his voice. The recordings will be compared with existing evidence, including a video clip he had recorded on his mobile phone, to determine his involvement in the case.
A team of sound engineers and forensic experts will analyze the recordings and submit a detailed report to SIT officials. Meanwhile, the police have also sought court permission to conduct a blood test on the accused.
The SIT is expected to file the charge sheet before the magistrate court soon.
