National deworming campaign from today in TN

The Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine will launch the first round of the National Deworming Campaign 2025 on February 10 (Monday) across Tamil Nadu.
The campaign will distribute Albendazole tablets to:
Infants, children, and teens
Pregnant women (aged 20-30 years)
Non-pregnant but lactating mothers
Albendazole helps prevent worm infections, anaemia, and malnutrition.
District Health Officers have been directed to ensure a sufficient stock of drugs, well-prepared camp sites, and mobility support for smooth execution.
Special deworming camps will be set up at Primary Health Centres, Government Schools, Aided Schools, and Colleges.
Timings: 9 AM to 4 PM.
This initiative aims to improve public health and ensure better nutrition and well-being for children and women.
