Actor R. Madhavan is set to portray G.D. Naidu, the visionary inventor known as the “Edison of India,” in an upcoming biopic written and directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar.Following the success of Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, Varghese Moolan Pictures and Tricolour Films are collaborating once again on this ambitious project. Madhavan, known for his diverse roles, will bring to life the journey of G.D. Naidu, a pioneering industrialist and innovator from Coimbatore.
Filming begins this month in Coimbatore, with the production team focusing on authenticity by shooting on location. Varghese Moolan, Vijay Moolan, Madhavan, and Sarita Madhavan are producing the film, while Aravind Kamalanathan serves as both cinematographer and creative producer.
The film’s title will be announced on February 18, with further cast and crew details to follow.
