With an expected surge in passenger travel from February 21 to 23, the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) has announced the operation of special buses across the state. According to an official release, TNSTC will deploy additional buses alongside regular services to ensure smooth travel.
From Kilambakkam Bus Terminal, 245 special buses will operate on February 21 and 240 buses on February 22 to destinations including:
Tiruvannamalai, Trichy, Kumbakonam,
Madurai, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore,
Salem and Erode.
From Koyambedu, 51 special buses will run on February 21 and 22 to:
Tiruvannamalai, Nagapattinam, Velankanni, Hosur and Bengaluru.
From Madhavaram, 20 special buses will operate on February 21 and 22.
To facilitate a hassle-free return journey for passengers traveling back to Chennai and Bengaluru, TNSTC has also planned special buses from all major locations on February 23 (Sunday).
Booking and Travel Advisory
TNSTC has reported high ticket demand, with:
7,708 bookings for Friday (Feb 21)
3,132 bookings for Saturday (Feb 22)
7,612 bookings for Sunday (Feb 23)
Passengers are advised to book tickets in advance via www.tnstc.in or the TNSTC mobile app to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
